te Mānia
Te Mānia is a pioneering Nelson family winery.
Our vineyards flourish on the ancient alluvial terraces through which rivers flow from the mountains to the sea. These stony soils, combined with Nelson’s cool maritime climate and high sunshine hours, produce grapes and wines of the finest quality. Te Mānia is a two-time winner of the prestigious Bragato Trophy for the Best Wine in Show.
Our estate grown wines are certified organic as we believe in treading lightly on the environment while giving a true sense of ‘place’ to our wines.
Te Mānia is the Maori name for “The Plains” and is pronounced “Tay Ma-ni-a”. The free spirit of Nelson’s idyllic lifestyle and climate is captured by the Harrier Hawk gliding on the breeze above our vineyards.
Winemaker Steve Gill crafts a range of internationally acclaimed wines including; Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Rose, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and our ‘Koha’ Ice Riesling.
